2014 Project

After the March 2011 tsunami, the world came together to help recover and support the area where got damaged by.
While there has been much progress towards recovering the region, there still remains a long way to go to make a full recovery.
The most important thing to us for past few years was keep creating new products by developing science and industry.
But today, making us happy, relax and peaceful is more important to us especially after the disaster.
We believe that arts and feeling beautiful sceneries will help us to get peace of our minds.

Meanwhile, Japanese subcultures such as Pop Idols, Pop music and Animations are creating a large new markets all over the world.
This is a great opportunity to have the world interested to Japanese cultures once again especially we now are designated to host the Olympic Games in 2020 in Tokyo.

Because of such backgrounds, our organization “Flower Project” continue to actively involve people from all over the world in our programs and assist them with other volunteer organizations in this year again.
Our main concern is no longer to raise relief goods or passively send donations to the affected region, but our goal is to spend time with the people in the region and experience rich and precious time together and bring new hopes to the area. We believe it is important and be able to contribute to recover and revitalize the area by affecting people’s spirits through our projects and activities.

2014 Project

In September 2012, our organization went to the city of Iwaki in the Fukushima region to paint murals on the sides of several temporary housing units. After we finished and a streak of sunlight fell on the work, we felt a small but important burst of energy and a hope arose from our work. We would like to continue to help revitalizing Fukushima and hope to be able to plan and carry out more projects in the future.
